James W. Clark, 89, of Brentwood passed away on Friday, June 21, 2019. J.W. was born in Knoxville, TN on September 2, 1929, the son of Clarence Edward Clark and Ila Lucille Clark. They precede him death.
Surviving is his wife of 70 years, Evelyn Raines Clark; daughter, Patricia Eggers; sons, Randy (Debbie) Clark and Ronnie (Melody) Clark; five grandchildren, Eleanor (Robby) Reynolds, Robert Eggers, Brett Clark, Ryan Clark, and Travis Clark; and four great-grandchildren, Shelby Clark, Emmarie Clark, Camdyn Clark, and James Reynolds.
J.W. moved to Nashville, TN at the age of 11 years old. He went to Cavert School and then to West High School where he was on the 1946 State Basketball Championship team and Captain of the 1948 State Basketball Team under Coach Emmett Strickland. He had a career in the printing industry at Ambrose Printing Company where he worked for 43 years. He was a lifetime deacon at Nashville First Baptist Church and member of the Good News Bible Class. He was a 32nd degree Mason at Doric Lodge #732. J.W. loved his Lord, his family, and his church.
A gathering of family and friends will be on Monday, June 24, 2019 from eleven o'clock in the morning until the time of service at one o'clock at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
