He was preceded in death by his father, James Chancy Brown, Sr.; mother, Nannie Louise Brown; sister, Rhonda Moore McCosh; and son, Michael Troy Brown.
Jim is survived by Elsie Fay Brown, his loving wife of 55 years; children Amanda Oglesby (Rich), Kellye Watkins (Jimmy), Honey Brown, and James F. Brown (Penelope); Grandchildren Jordan, Casey, Jodie, Camille, Jana, Bethany, Makayla, and Jamie; four great-grandchildren; sisters: Susan and Shirley; brother: Kenny (Janie); and many nieces and nephews.
