Anderson, Jacqulyn “Jackie”—Age 83 of Nashville, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2012. Jackie was born April 6, 1929 in Waycross, GA. She celebrated her love of books studying at Mercer University and Peabody College where she earned a Master’s degree in library science. Jackie was a devout Christian who carried the message of Christ with actions rather than words, praying for and serving others at every opportunity. She retired after a long career with the Baptist Sunday School Board and was the librarian and a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Nashville. Jackie is preceded in death by her parents, Amanda LaForest Murray and James F. Anderson and brothers M. Glenn Anderson and F. Murray Anderson. She is survived by her dear friends David and Donna Manning, their daughters Emily Herrick and Laura Jenkins, whom she loved as her own, her niece Paula Knapp and her nephew David Anderson. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall. Her family will receive guests preceding the service beginning at 12:30 p.m. at the Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church library fund.
