She married Nency Joseph Infanti on November 1, 1943 and was married for 45 years before Nency’s death. They had one son, Nunzio.
Ida May had three granddaughters; Christian, Nicole and Avril and five great-grandchildren; Caitlyn, Will, Bella, Lola and Jake.
Ida May was a member of Memorial Lutheran Church where she faithfully worshipped until her failing health in January, 2013. Her fondest memories were helping organize the annual yard sale. Even in her final days Ida May would tell her loved ones she had been at church working all day.
Ida was an animal lover with a special love of cats with her last two cats being Boo-Boo and Gray Boy. There was never a stray cat that didn’t become hers.
Ida May also had a special love for birds and no matter the weather conditions one could expect to see Ida feeding the birds each morning and afternoon.
Ida May had a love for the outdoors and working in her yard was a favorite pastime along with baking especially at Christmas time with turtles and cocoons being all time favorites by all.
Ida was a wonderful woman who never said an unkind word about anyone and would help anyone who needed help. Her precious smile and gentle spirit will be greatly missed but her family feels so blessed to have a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother for 93 years. We rejoice in knowing she is now at home with our Lord and finally at peace.
