Ginger was born on May 6, 1936 in Marion County, Alabama to Lucien and Maggie Wright. She graduated from Hackleburg High School in Hackleburg, Alabama in 1954. Following her graduation, she moved to Nashville and married Judson George Raynor on April 23, 1955. She attended the Secretarial School of Nashville.
During her career she worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield prior to the birth of her daughter, Julia. It was then she decided she was going to spend the rest of her time being a homemaker for her family. Ginger was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother as they loved her just as much as she adored them. She was so excited and proud to become a great-grandmother six years ago Her great-niece, Vallen, named her daughter after her nearly two years ago. Her family was so special to her. She loved the Lord and that showed in each of her relationships.
Some of Ginger’s greatest times in her life were spending time with her family and friends. In her younger years she enjoyed boating, camping, and traveling to new and historical places with her husband, Judson. Her and Jud were long time members of the Nashville Jaycees and Jaycettes. One thing about Ginger is she loved to shop and never left home without coordinating her outfits for her shoes to match her handbags. Her sense of fashion stretched far beyond most and she enjoyed looking her best everywhere she went.
She is survived by her daughter, Julia (William) Vaughn of Murfreesboro, TN; Grandson, William Jeremy Vaughn of Memphis, TN; Granddaughters, Brianna Vaughn McGowan of Murfreesboro and Julia Kelsey Vaughn of Nashville, TN; Great-Granddaughter, Isla Nellie McGowan; Niece, Freida (Mike) Evans of Hamilton, AL, Nephew, Daniel (Karla) Wright of Red Bay, AL; Great-Nephews, Ty (Joanna) Evans, Chad (Kelli) Nichols and his children Cameron, Asher, and Deacon; Great-Niece, Vallen (Scott) Honsinger and her children Braxton, Jasper, Ginger, and Piper.
