Dr. George Edward Cook, died September 14th 2020. His long life was filled with the love of family and friends. His work as an Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Studies and a Professor in the School of Engineering at Vanderbilt University, brought him great joy and fulfillment. He felt honored to contribute to the molding and mentoring of young adults. He had the contentment that came with his happy marriage to Mary for 54 years. He felt blessed to have the devotion of his Family: wife, Mary S. Cook; nieces, Tina (Mike) Mercer, Linda (Gary) Brown, Susanne Spell, Elizabeth Mills, Emily McDaniel, Elizabeth Trinkler; great-nephews, Cai McIntyre, Owen (Jennifer) Trinkler, Erik (Donna) Miller, Jordan McDaniel, J.P. McDaniel, Jackson Mills, Clayton Mills and Ian Brown; great-nieces, Rachel McDaniel, Kelly Nann and Ashley Kate Foltz; brother-in-law, Bill (Elneta) Spell and sister-in-law, Shirley Trinkler.
His unassuming demeanor will long be remembered by his family and friends. There will be a Private Service held for the family.
