George Steven "Steve" Clark, age 81, of Mt. Juliet, TN, peacefully passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2025. He was born on March 24, 1944, in Nashville, TN. Steve married Helen Fly on November 26, 1965, in Nashville.
Steve was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and the Army Reserves. He was a longtime, active member and deacon at Haywood Hills Baptist Church and later at Victory Baptist Church after moving to Mt. Juliet. He worked for 42 years at AVCO before retiring to become a full-time Pawpaw. He loved watching old westerns and military movies, and he cherished spending time in the Smoky Mountains.
Steve is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Helen; sons Jeff (and wife) and Scott (and wife). He was a proud Pawpaw to four granddaughters—Brook Clark, Hayleigh Clark, Stephanie Clark, and Lindsay Clark—and one grandson, Chase Clark.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and sister.
Steve will be laid to rest at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 1101 Lebanon Pike, Nashville, TN 37210.
