Gene J. Yealy

Gene Joseph Yealy, age 80 of Hermitage, TN passed away December 19, 2011 at home surrounded by his family. Preceded in death by his brother, Donald and parents, Kathleen Cecelia Funk and Francis (Frank) George Yealy. Gene was born in New Oxford, PA and was a veteran of the US Air Force. He then worked 38 years for General Electric as a Sales Engineer, where he earned numerous awards. Gene was a member of the GE Elfuns, American Legion Post 88, Two Rivers Golf Club and Ravenwood Country Club. He was an Honorary Kentucky Colonel. He was an avid golfer, fisherman and reader. Gene loved traveling, loved his family, was a wonderful husband and loved life. Survived by wife, Jean Carolyn Yealy and children, Kimberly Jill (Brenda Boyd), Kelli Jean Savage (Terry), Kenton Jay and Kaye Jennifer Hash (Bobby). Also survived by stepsons, Michael Scott Wiggins (Kathy) and Jeffery Todd Wiggins (Mary Jo); 12 adored grandchildren. Visitation will be 1:00pm until 3:00 pm Friday, December 23, 2011, with Memorial services immediately following in Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall.
