Kay Soon Kim, a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, and faithful servant of Christ, was born on October 23, 1957, in JinJu, South Korea, as the firstborn child to her proud parents, Yu Won Jik and Lee In Im. Growing up with three brothers.
She embarked on her educational journey at JinJu Yuh Joong Middle School and later attended Sam Hyun High School. In the summer of 1979, Kay Soon accepted Christ into her heart and was baptized at the JinJu Seventh Day Adventist Church, under the guidance of Pastor Choi, Sung Won.
On December 16, 1979, Kay Soon married the love of her life, Kim, Yi Gon, and together they built a life filled with love and devotion. Their union was blessed with three daughters, NaYoung, UnHai, and UnYoung.
In pursuit of a better life, the Kim family immigrated to the United States of America on October 18, 1984, settling in Alexandria, VA. During their time there, Kay Soon found solace and community at the Vienna Virginia Seventh Day Adventist Church, where she worshipped for a decade.
In 1994, the Kim family relocated to Nashville, TN, where they became cherished members of the Nashville Korean Seventh-day Adventist Church, remaining dedicated to their faith and community until 2023.
As a devoted wife and mother, Kay Soon Kim's life was marked by unwavering faith, love, and service. On December 13, 2023, she was surrounded by her husband and daughters, with prayer and praising the Lord, sharing scriptures, and reminiscing about the precious memories they shared.
At 1:16 am on December 14, 2023, Kay Soon Kim passed away, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, and resilience. She now rests in the arms of Jesus, eagerly anticipating the second coming of our Lord and Savior. Her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who were touched by her warmth, kindness, and abiding faith.

A memorial service for Kay will be held Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 5:00 PM at Nashville Korean Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 1134 Cheyenne Blvd, Nashville, TN 37115.
