Gary Jack Roberts Jr.

Gary was born on September 29, 1966, the son of Gary Jack Roberts Sr. and Judith Lee Kilgo Roberts. He married Nicole Marie Hillis on November 2, 2003 in Nashville, TN.

Gary is survived by his wife, Nicole Marie Roberts; sons, Gary Jack Roberts III, Alex Roberts, Mitch Roberts, and Jake Roberts; his mother, Judith Lee Roberts; siblings, Lauri Tapley, Tara Robinson, and Matthew Roberts; mother-in law, Rita Coleman Hillis; father-in-law, Larry Hillis; and brother-in-law, Josh Hillis.

Preceding him in death is his father, Gary Jack Roberts Sr.

Gary was a proud alumnus of the University of Alabama, where he was a member of the Delta Chi fraternity. Following college, he pursued numerous entrepreneurial endeavors that ultimately led him into an 18-year career with HealthMarkets, where he was a Territory Vice President. Gary was a dedicated mentor and leader to his colleagues and coworkers. He loved his career, his education, and most importantly the people he met along the way.

Gary fully represented the expression “larger than life.” He loved deeply, gave generously, and lived every moment to the fullest. He was known for his big smile, bear hugs, powerful voice, and big “Roll Tides”. Among his other hobbies, he found pure joy in watching Alabama football, travelling the world with his wife, and spending time on Old Hickory Lake with his family and friends. He devoted his life to providing for his wife and children, while enjoying as much time as possible with his four sons. He was a true family man.

Gary’s legacy will carry on through his warming smile, his tremendous love for the people in his life, and countless cherished memories. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, services for Gary will be private. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
