Frances was born August 10, 1923 in Clifty, TN and passed away April 19, 2017. Frances moved to Crossville, TN as a young girl where she attended local schools and Nashville Business School. Her career included working at the POW Camp in Crossville during WWII. At the end of the war she met and married her husband of 56 years, Charles W Johnson. He preceded her death and his cremains will be buried with her as they remain together for eternity. Frances, Charles and their two daughters, Janet and Charlotte moved to Donelson in 1956. A lifelong Methodist, she placed her membership with Andrew Price Methodist Church and was a active member for 61 years. An excellent cook, she served as church hostess for many years, cooking and delivering meals to the sick as long as she could still drive. She lived her Christian faith each and every day!
Preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles W. Johnson; daughter Janet Ruth Johnson; parents, Comer and Flora Coleman. Survived by daughter, Charlotte A (Ronnie) Mitchell; grandchildren, Kristie Holder and her children, Mitchell, Skylar and Emma Binkley. Scott (Jennifer) and their children, Mackenzie and Landon Holder.
Visitation Friday, April 21st 4-8pm at Hibbett & Hailey Funeral Home. Funeral Service Saturday April 22nd 1130 am at Andrew Price United Methodist Church in Donelson with visitation one hour prior to service at church.
Interment to follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens with Landon Holder, Mitchell Binkley, Logan McKee, Matthew Morgan, Cameron D'Ovidio, Ronnie Mitchell and Brian Cannon will serve as pallbearers
