Everett A. Covington, Jr., age 87 – went to heaven on May 5, 2013. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Jeanne Melton Covington; parents, Everett A. Covington, Sr. and Lillie Glidewell Covington; son, Everett Steven (Martha Allen) Covington; daughters, Lucy Jeanne Covington and Marjorie (David) Carol Encke; three grandchildren, Adrian Tucker Encke, Lauren Elizabeth Covington and Everett Wilson Covington, two great-grandchildren. Everett was an Eagle Scout and served his country in the United States Army Air Force; a graduate of the University of Tennessee – Knoxville and a member of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. His career accomplishments were President of Security Federal Savings and Loan; Commissioner at Harpeth Valley Utility District and member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church. Visitation with family and friends will be on Wednesday, 8th of May from five o’clock until seven o’clock at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home, with a Celebration of Life Service on Thursday at two-thirty in the afternoon in Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall.
