Evelyn S. Turner

She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas E Turner (Tom). She leaves a brother Ralph Stacy of Mt Juliet, TN, nieces Sharan Stacy of Nashville, TN and Linda Hipkins of Panama City, FL, a nephew Barry Stacy of Mt Juliet, TN, her great niece Michelle Hipkins Duncan and her two children Blake and MacKenzie Duncan, and her great nephew James Hipkins, all of Panama City, FL. Evelyn was much loved by family and many friends and neighbors.

Evelyn was born and raised in Huntingdon TN. The daughter of Ocie and Stoker Stacy. After high school she attended Draughons Business College in Nashville, and went to work for St Bernard Coal Company where she met Tom Turner. They were married in 1953. She worked there (now Alley-Cassetty Companies) until she retired on her 88th birthday. In 1956 they moved into her home at 2120 June Drive in Donelson where she remained until 2016.

Evelyn was a lover of laughter and people. She was an active member of her church and had many friends. She loved Football and was an avid Titans fan, and she never missed an episode of Dancing With the Stars.

She was a great lady and will be missed by all.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 AM-2 PM with the service at 2 PM on Saturday, Sept 3, 2016 with a private burial in Waverly TN at the HB Parker Cemetery immediately afterward.
