Her father died in 1964. Her husband, Robert, died on August 10, 1965, at the age of 47. She cared for her mother until her death in 1992.
Evelyn Claire is survived by her son, Calvin, and his wife Nelia; her daughter, Jane, and her husband, Bill Bell; her granddaughters, Vanessa Bauknight and Lydia Bell; and her great-grandchildren, Allie and Keaton Bauknight.
The family will receive friends on Monday, March 20, 5-8 p.m. and Tuesday, March 21 at 10:30 a.m. with the funeral service following at 11:30 at Woodlawn Cemetery. Rev. Peter van Eys, pastor at Crievewood UMC, will officiate.
