Mrs. Esther L. Alred passed away June 27, 2013 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Mrs. Alred was born in Williamsport, Tennessee to the late Henry and Lenora Gantt. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Alred and eleven siblings; Martin Gantt, Gladys Sharp, Willie Harris, Marco Gantt, Henry Earle Gantt, Maury Gantt, Charlotte Armstrong, Warnice Gantt, George Gantt, Billy Ray Gantt. She is survived by son,Robert L. Alred Jr, Nashville, Tennessee and daughter,Donna Alred Hughes, Charlotte, North Carolina. Three Grandchildren, Dashikita Sutton, Sean Alred and Ashley Hughes. Homegoing Celebration is at eleven o’clock in the morning on Wednesday, the 3rd of July at St. John AME Church, 1822 Formosa Street, Nashville, Tennesseee 37208 with visitation held one hour prior to the service.
