NEWMAN, Earnest Millard - Age 96 of LaVergne, passed away on May 15, 2012. Preceded in death by first wife of 54 years, Lucille Newman; second wife of 16 years, Gertie Newman; and daughter, Donna Faye Parker. Survived by children, Martha (Harvel) Arnold, Rebecca (Becky) Earnestine Newman, Judy (Robert) St. John, Cheryl (Jerry) Wolfe, and son-in-law, Phillip Parker; grandchildren, Gina Whited (David Klotwog), William Arnold, James Arnold, David (Lisa) Arnold, Robert (Barbe) St. John, James (Nancy) St. John, Gregory Parker, Sandra (Dean) Bell, and Jennifer Wolfe; eleven great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; and beloved dog, Maggie. His will be greatly remembered for his talent and skills as a master carpenter. He was a loving father and husband, and was the best grandfather ever! He was a longtime member of Hillcrest United Methodist Church and in his latter years, a member of Highland Heights Church of Christ. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:30 p.m. at Woodlawn's Dignity Hall on Friday, May 18, 2012 with Minister Wayne Cornwell officiating. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, and 1 hr prior to the service on Friday.
