Ella Dean Eddy

Ella “Dean” Thacker Eddy, Age 91 of Mount Juliet, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 in Nashville, Tennessee. Dean was born to the late Ernest and Margaret Thacker on March 1, 1932 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Dean went to school at Hume-Fogg where she graduated. Dean married the love of her life, Daniel Ishmeal Eddy in 1952 in Nashville

Dean is survived by her daughter, Leanne (Scott) Witt; son, Stephen (Carla) Eddy; twin sister, Jean McCain; grandchildren, Gavin (Lacey) Eddy, Glenna (Nate) Smith, Hayden (Katie) Witt, and Hannah Witt; great grandchildren: Hadley, Sutton, and Camdyn Eddy, Rhett Smith, and Isla Witt; sister-in-laws, Myra Danley and Twyla Laurence (of Lexington, AL); along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Dean is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Daniel Ishmeal Eddy; brothers, Ernest, Albert, and Marion Thacker; sisters, Dorothy Buchanan, Evelyn Thacker, Louise Florence, and Francis Lee.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Alive Hospice of Nashville, or Samaritan’s Purse.

A gathering of family & friends from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204. Following will be a graveside service, Monday, June 19, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204 with Randy Laurence, Butch Danley, Mike Eakes, Gavin Eddy, Hayden Witt, and Nate Smith serving as pallbearers.
