She was 100 years and ten days old. She was born in Harris Georgia June 10, 1921.
She started her married life in Odessadale, Georgia and in 1953 moved with her family to Tennessee.
She has lived in the same home for 68 years. Mrs. Harman is one of the oldest living resident in the Bluefield’s neighborhood of Donelson. Mrs. Harman was a longtime member of Andrew Price United Methodist Church. She spent her life as a homemaker and caregiver, caring for all of the children in her family as well as animals, especially dogs and ducks. In her free time she enjoyed being outside and weeding the yard.
She is survived by her six children, Joe (Elaine) Harman, Lillian Christine Harman Cotterman, H. Dan (Jeannie) Harman Jr., Sara E. Harman Curp, MaryAlice Harman (Steve) Cooper and Charlie Neal (Joye) Harman; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren and three great great grand children; also a large extended family.
Mrs. Harman is preceded in death by her parents William and Birda Hutchinson and her husband Howard Daniel Harman.
Gathering of family and friends Wednesday June 23, 2021 from 4:00-7:00pm at Hibbett and Hailey Funeral Home. Second visitation Thursday June 24, 2021 from 9:00-10:00am also at Hibbett and Hailey Funeral Home. Graveside service will begin at 11:00am at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
Her sons and grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
