A proud graduate of Hume Fogg High School, Edwin spent much of his life working in the auto parts industry, where he built a career as an inventory leader at NAPA Auto Parts. He was known for his commitment to his work, but it was his deep love for the Lord and his family that defined him. Edwin’s faith was central to his life, and he served as an example of kindness, patience, and love to all who knew him. His passion for his family was unwavering, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Edwin was married to Barbara Smith Mauss on March 21, 1974, in Nashville, Tennessee. She preceded him in death, but their love remained in his heart always. He was also preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Mauss, and his sisters, Patsy Gentry, Beth Boling, and Elizabeth Shrout.
He is survived by his daughters, Stephanie Mauss and Gina Mauss Blythe; grandchildren, Gage Blythe, Matthew Feldman, Brianna Mauss, Jeffrey Price; great grandchildren Gunner Lamb, Everleigh Lamb, and Alli Lamb; as well as his brothers, John Mauss and Danny Gentry.
A visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville, Tennessee. A funeral service will follow the visitation, and burial will take place afterward at Potts Cemetery in Santa Fe, Tennessee.
Edwin’s life was a testament to his faith, his dedication to his family, and his love for the Lord. He will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in eternal peace.
