Dorothy "Dot" Mae Clark Yates

Predeceased by husband of 66 years, John Thomas Yates; grandson, Christopher Wayne Yates and daughters-in-law, Beverly Yates and Jan Yates.

Dot is survived by sons, Wayne, Mike (Janice) and Steve (Lynn) Yates; grandchildren, Greg (Kathy), Daniel (Patrick), Kevin (Rachel), Kristin, Steven (Meredith and Spencer (Erin) Yates and 14 great-grandchildren.

Dot was a devoted Sunday School teacher for many years at North Edgefield and Broadmoor Baptist Churches. She was an avid gardener and talented at all needlework.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Special thanks to the staff at Brookdale Assisted Living (Goodlettsville) and Gentiva Hospice for their excellent care.

A visitation for Dorothy will be held Wednesday, June 21, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at 2:00 PM, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, June 21, 2023. Chaplain Alan Corry officiating.
