Dorothy "Dot" M (Botts) Jordan, age 91, of Hermitage, TN, passed away Wednesday December 13, 2023. Dorothy was born in Nashville, TN on June 4, 1932 to Charles L. and Christine L. Botts and grew up in East Nashville. She was a graduate of East High School.
Dorothy worked as a records clerk for the Tennessee Department of Corrections for over 20 years and had several other occupations prior to her service with the state. She was a member of the Eastland Baptist Church for many years. She enjoyed music of all types and dearly loved her cat companions throughout her lifetime.
She is preceded in death by her parents Charles L. and Christine Botts.
She is survived by her sons Michael Jordan and wife Shelly of Mount Juliet, Tn and Steven Jordan and wife Margie of Shelbyville, Tn.
Friends are welcome to join a graveside service to be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Nashville, TN. Donations can be made in her memory to the Humane Association of Nashville or True Rescue animal shelter in Mount Juliet, TN.
