Henry, Doris Bucci - Loving Wife and devoted Mother, Born August 29, 1926 of Nashville, Tennessee died peacefully at her home in Nashville on July 29, 2011. Visitation with the family will be on Monday, August 1, 2011 from 4:30 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Fleming Center at the Cathedral of the Incarnation with the Rosary to follow. Mass of the Resurrection will be held at the Cathedral of the Incarnation, Nashville, Tennessee on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. with visitation with the family beginning at 9:00 A.M. until the service. Burial to take place at 1:00 at Calvary Cemetery, Nashville, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider a donation to Alive Hospice, 1718 Patterson Street, Nashville, Tennessee 37203. Doris spent most of their married life in Nashville after moving from Burlington, New Jersey, where she grew up and where she met Jim. She was always proud of her Italian Heritage and loved her Italian music and cooking. She was a member of the Ladies of Charity, Meals on Wheels and a communicant of Cathedral of the Incarnation. Doris was a wonderful cook of Italian Cuisine, an excellent seamstress, had a charitable heart and gave lovingly of her time to others. Doris is preceded in death by her mother and father, Laura F. Bucci and Antonio Bucci from Chieti, Italy; her brother, Aldo Bucci; sister, Philomena Bucci Paulsen and loving son-in-law, Frederick Ayers. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Deacon (Retired) James (Jim) Henry; her four daughters, Laura Henry Ayers, Patricia (Mickey) Butler; Rebecca (Bob) Dempsey; Michele (Jim) Atwell and her devoted brother in law and sister in law, Major General (Retired) Charles Henry and Sandy Henry. She is also survived by her four grandchildren Melissa Steiger (Atlanta, GA); Erica Steakley (Los Angeles, CA); Patrick Brown (Leiper’s Fork, TN) and Megan Hartless (Staunton, VA); three great grandchildren, Dororthy Steakley, Lennon Hartless and Noah Brown who she loved dearly and a host of nieces and nephews.
