Donald Ray Shaw, age 77 of Nashville, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2010. Mr. Shaw was the son of the late William Mitchell and Mable Cothron Shaw and the husband of the late Winnie Cross Shaw, who passed away in 2006. He is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Liggett and Peggy Bennett; nieces, Debbie Lippincott and Kim (David) Deere; nephews, Danny and Scott Liggett all of Gallatin; cousin, Bill (Martha) Brown of Hendersonville; 3 great nieces and 4 great nephews. Funeral services will be 2:30pm Thursday in Dignity Hall at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home with Jerry Maxwell officiating. Placement will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Family and friends will gather to remember Mr. Shaw from 3 o’clock till 8 o’clock Wednesday evening and from 12noon till service time on Thursday at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. Mr. Shaw was a US Navy veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict and received his Mechanical Engineering Degree from the University of Houston. He was the founder and former owner of Comfort Supply Company. Memorials may be made to Alive Hospice, Gilroy Church of Christ or Salvus Medical Clinic of Gallatin.
