Don was a native Nashvillian and attended grammar school at Cathedral & graduated from West High School in 1961. He went on to attend Middle Tennessee State University where he earned a Bachelor Of Science degree in 1967.
His professional career spanning over 40 years , was spent in manufacturing where he served as the Director of Marketing & Sales for several companies. He traveled extensively for business during this period of his life and looked forward to the time when he could stay home and savor the fruits of his labor. He spent his retirement enjoying the freedom to live his life on his own terms.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He took enormous pride in his two grandsons who continuously amazed him!
He was preceded in death by his mother Anne Rose O’Donnell, his father Samuel Kola Sharp and his brother David Michael Sharp.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Virginia Chapman Sharp, his son Michael Christopher Sharp, his daughter-in-law Connie Fogle Sharp and his two grandsons Matthew Addison Sharp & Jonathon Avery Sharp.

Arrangements:
A Celebration of Don’s life was held on Friday, April 28th at Mt. Olivet Funeral Home. Funeral Services took place on Saturday, April 29th at St. Thomas West Chapel, followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery.
