Don spent the last five years as a happy and engaged resident of The St. Paul Senior Living Residence in Green Hills, where he was known for his kindness, quick wit, and servant’s heart.
He is survived by his children; Don & Vicki Akers and Tim & Susan Akers.
He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He will truly be missed by all that crossed his path. Don was a proud veteran and an active member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, 33 Burton Hills Blvd, Nashville where a memorial service will be held Saturday, April 18, at 1pm in the sanctuary.
