Dannie was born on December 12, 1942 in Lawrenceburg, TN, the daughter of Claude L. and Ivadell Baxter Rogers. They precede her in death along with one brother, James Edward Rogers.
Surviving are her children, Kimberly (H.L.) Daniels of Nashville and Kurt (Tracey) Wilson of Magnolia, TX; grandchildren, Aubrie (Al) Johnston and Dane (Elise) Daniels; great grandchildren, Albert Alden Johnston and Tennessee Rollin Daniels; one brother, Charles (Judy) Rogers; and one sister, Melissa (Hal) Dixon.
Dannie was a past member of Bible Study Fellowship where she made many dear friends that she continued to stay in touch with. She loved people and traveling, and she enjoyed talking to others about their own travels. This may have come from being raised in a military family that was often transferred to different bases. Dannie could be described as colorful and quite the teller of jokes, and she loved to laugh and make those around her laugh. You could also find Dannie watching her favorite syndicated shows, talking on her phone, or playing skipboo.
She had a huge heart, and Dannie spent over 20 years caring for her brother, James after her mother passed away. She had a true and deep love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and she enjoyed every minute she was able to spend with them. She will be greatly missed by those that knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be on Sunday, January 19, 2020 at four o’clock in Dignity Hall at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be for one hour prior to the service.
The family would like to extend their gratitude and appreciation for the care given and for the love shown to Dannie by Tera Daniels and Carmen Stanfield.
