Charles O. Tucker Jr.

Mr. Tucker was a WWII Veteran and served in a medical unit in Okinawa. He attended the Vultee Church of Christ for over 65 years. He was employed at Warren Paint/United States Gypsum Co. where he was the plant manager.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles O. Tucker, Sr. and Anna Katherine Tucker; brothers, William Tucker, Herman Tucker, Robert Tucker and Tom Tucker; sisters, Anna Baugh, Lena Farris, Velma Savage and Jean Binkley. He was the last surviving of 9 siblings.

He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Betty Jo (Cope) Tucker, three children, Gary (Shirley) Tucker of Murfreesboro, TN, Gail (Bill) Griggs of Bell Buckle, TN and Glenda (Larry) Riley of Lascassas, TN. He was a wonderful grandfather to 8 grandchildren; Julie Tucker Coleman, Jason Tucker, Joel Kelly, Michael Griggs, Philip Griggs, Joe Griggs, Will Riley, Emily Riley Reed and Tim Riley. He had 22 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Celebration of Life Service will be on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at two thirty in the afternoon, Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall. Gathering of family and friends will be from twelve thirty until the service time on Saturday at Woodlawn Roesch Patton Funeral Home.
