Mr. Myers was born in Nashville, TN, on October 5, 1920, the son of the late Robert Greenfield Myers, Sr. and Virginia Mai Lavender. He retired from Nashville Gas Company. He attended Lebanon Road Church of Christ where he was a former elder. In his earlier years, Mr. Myers enjoyed building model airplanes and gardening. He served our country in the United States Navy during World War II.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Greenfield Myers, Jr., Wendell Earl Myers, Sr., and William Dallas Myers.
Survivors include his loving wife of 66 years, Juanita Myers; two daughters, Phyllis Myers (Donald R.) McFolin and Carolyn Myers (Stephen R.) York; one sister, Irma (Wheeler) Woodruff; two grandchildren, Patrick Ryan McFolin and Shelby Nicole (Matthew Bishop) York; one great grandchild on the way, Matthew Bishop II, and a host of other relatives.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2015, from two-thirty until three-thirty in the afternoon at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at three-thirty in the afternoon with Harry Middleton officiating at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Church of Christ Disaster Relief, 410 Allied Drive, Nashville, TN 37211.
