Charlene was born Monday, November 7, 1927 in Lebanon, Tennessee and is preceded in death by her parents, Lonny Denny and Leda Bell Greer Judkins; husband, Douglas Edward Miles; son, Billy Miles; sister, Marvene Judkins Pearre; brother, Vernon Judkins.
She was a model of love and generosity in her years as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. The single most important ingredient in her daily routines was LOVE. It showed in the way she devoted herself to the love of her life, husband Doug; her children, and her savior Jesus Christ. Mrs. Miles was member of Brush Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church of 70 plus years; proud member of "The Friendly Class", a large active church group. She was a Proverbs 31 woman; loved reading, cooking, yard work, watching the children play ball and traveling with Doug, her sister and best friend, Marvene Pearre.
A retired data entry clerk for National Life Insurance Company, Mrs. Miles is survived by her sons, Mike (Sharyn) Miles and Randy (Connie) Miles; grandchildren, Michelle (Herman) Presley, Tanya (Jeremy) Ethridge, Nichole (Chris) Satterfield, Chad (Lauren) Miles, Loni (Brandon) Duke, Adam (Angela) Miles; great-grandchildren, Gage and Garrett Presley, Jackson, Harrison and Bailey Satterfield, Kaci Ethridge, Gentry, Emery and Addison Miles, Will Miles, Landon and Laila Duke; great-great-grandson, Levi Presley; loved nieces and nephews, Patricia Charlene Oliva, Judy Carol (Chuck) Cooper, Chuck (Rhonda) Beasley, Janice Miles Ezell, Bob Petty, Dan Scott Petty, Jimmie Thad Miles and several great nieces and nephews.
She left us like she lived - Peacefully, softly and gently. We will hold her memories in hour hearts forever.
A celebration of life service will be conducted at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Mount Olivet Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Tucker officiating.
Family and friends will gather to remember Mrs. Miles at a visitation Tuesday, November 16, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Mount Olivet Funeral Home, Nashville, Tennessee.
Charlene will be laid to rest in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Nashville, Tennessee.
