Catherine Ann Fleming , 48, passed away on May 1, 2016. She was born in Nashville, TN on November 25, 1967 to James and Sarah (Pewitt) Fleming. A graduate of Hillwood High School in Nashville, and Washington University in St. Loius, MO, Catherine was a free lance book editor. She was an accomplished photographer, an avid gardener, and a ruthless Scrabble aficionado. She loved the theater, the symphony, old cars, trivia, and coffee. She is survived by her beloved daughters, Georgia Grace May- Fleming and Iris Catherine Marable May-Fleming, both of Nashville; brother, Tony (Jan) Fleming, Franklin, TN; Step siblings: Tina Collins, Mobile, AL; Geoffrey (Julia) Ashworth, St. Petersburg, FL; Jenny (Tim) Kaine, Murray, KY; John Pamplin, Jr., Nashville, TN; Step-father, J. Crispin Ashworth, Nashville, TN; Aunt, Shirley (James) Scott, Antioch, TN; Uncle, Wayne Pewitt, Mt. Juliet, TN; nieces: Sullivan Fleming, New York, Bronwyn Fleming and Maren Fleming, Franklin, TN; numerous cousins and many devoted friends. A CELEBRATION OF LIFE will be held at The Dark Horse Theater, 4610 Charlotte Ave, on Saturday May 7, 2016 at 10:00am. Please wear your brightest colors, NO BLACK, and bring a flower from your garden. Donations may be made in Catherine’s honor to Nashville Ballet or Nashville Symphony.
