Joy Capps, 87 of Murfreesboro, passed away March 13, 2017. She graduated from East High School in Nashville and attended Falls Business College. Joy worked in insurance for most of her career. In her retirement she worked with her husband doing contract work for UPS.Joy attended Antioch Church of Christ and most recently World Outreach Church. She will be remembered as a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother. Joy was a long term caregiver to many of her family members. She enjoyed having people in her home and was a gracious hostess. Survived by her children Vickie (Johnny) Duke and Greg (Melissa) Capps; grandchildren Jonathan and Jacob (Danielle) Duke, Ashli (Dallas) Pope, Courtney (Joseph) Boyd, Bethany Elliott and five great-grandchildren; brother Don O'Guin, and her canine companion Honey. Preceded in death by her husband Burt Capps, and brother Wayne Tarpley. Visitation Tuesday March 14th from six o'clock until eight o'clock in the evening at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. Funeral Wednesday March 15th at eleven thirty in the morning in Woodlawn's Dignity Hall. Burial following at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
