Carolyn Ruth Tate

Born in Nashville Tennessee passed away on March 3, 2022 at her home. Carolyn is preceded by her father, Charles E. Tate; sister, Mary Gail Tate; uncle, Terry Lee Davidson. Carolyn is survived by her mother, Norma Davidson Tate, aunts, Carolyn Davidson Oldham (James), Gail Johnson; niece, Rebekah Jean; nephew, Adam Lee; cousin, Seth Lee.

Carolyn skipped her junior and senior years of high school and enrolled at Peabody College where she received her Bachelor’s Degree.

Carolyn had over 25 years of executive museum management experience and was instrumental in the addition/expansion and new build of the Country Music Hall of Fame where she served as the Senior Vice President of Museum Services. Carolyn was also the Director of Museum Services of Looney Ricks Kiss and The Director of Museum Service of 1220 Exhibits, Inc.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home from 2pm until 4pm in the afternoon on Friday March 18th. A private graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park.

In honor of Carolyn donations may be given to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network or the Humane Society of the United States.
