Carmen Delilah (Beaty) Atkins

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of fifty-six years, Harold Boyd Atkins; siblings, Mildred “Mimi” (Lucien) Dale and Wales (Joan) Beaty.

“Aunt C” is survived by her brother, Gary (Marte) Beaty of Nashville, TN and the “loves of her life”, Albert (Kelly) Dale, of Springhill, TN, Carolyn Dale (Bert Meece) of Nashville, TN, and Hunt Beaty of Brooklyn, NY. And sister-in-law, Joan Beaty of Memphis, TN. Great-nieces and great-nephew, Lindsey Van Rennes of Knoxville, TN, Dillon Van Rennes of Nashville, TN, Hannah (Harrison) Hinton of Hendersonville, TN, and Mary Ashley Dale of Nashville, TN. And Charlene Harris of Jamestown, TN. Special lifelong friends, Rita Duncan, Connie Conatser, and Donna Craig.

A celebration of life will be held at 1pm on Monday, April 1, 2024, at Nashville First Baptist Church, 108 7th Ave. South, Nashville, TN following a private burial. The family will receive friends from noon to 1pm before the service.

After retiring from the Middle District of Tennessee, United States Bankruptcy Court as Deputy Courtroom Clerk, “Aunt C” enjoyed gardening and hosting family and friends in her home. She also enjoyed traveling with her “Travel Group” which allowed her to have an amazing “third act”.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to one of “Aunt C’s” favorite charities, Samaritan’s Purse or the Nashville Union Rescue Mission.
