Bret Chambers

Bret Chambers, AKA Yank James age 64, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Friday, February 17, 2023. He was born on November 9, 1958, in Michigan City, Indiana. He was a painting contractor. He enjoyed being retired, loved life and was always the life of the party. He and Alicia enjoyed going on new adventures, he enjoyed fishing, going on trips and riding his 2012 Harley Street Glide. He was a very special man, and he will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all that knew him.

He is preceded in death by his mother Norma L. Westphal. He is survived by his loving wife Alicia Knight, by his children Gina Chambers, of La Porte, Indiana, Carrie Bailey of Rolling Prairie, Indiana, Jonathan Chambers of Lake Station, Indiana, by his father Wallace Chambers, by his sisters Carol Barger of La Porte, Indiana and Shaun Renee Hale of La Porte, Indiana by his brothers Lucky Westphal and his wife Stacy of Michigan City, Indiana and Dwayne Umphrey of La Porte, Indiana and by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

There will be a Celebration of Life service on Sunday April 2, 2023 from 1:00 pm till 4 pm at the Donelson American Legion Post # 88, 2717 McCampbell Ave, Nashville, TN 37214 (615) 889-9318.
