Bonnie Molene Holt

Bonnie Molene Holt, age 98, went to be with the Lord on July 31st, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jere B. Holt Jr., the love of her life. Her parents, Emily Avo and William Hobert Carter; two brothers, Grady L. and Joe Burnley Carter; two sisters, Gwen Lynn and Josephine O'Geal Huffine; two step grandsons, Ricky and Robert Booher, one infant step grandchild, one step granddaughter, Amanda Bearden Oakes, and one nephew, Bobby Lynn.

She is survived by a son, Jere B. Holt III and his wife, Vikki of Nashville, TN; three stepdaughters, Carol Sue Booher of Beech Grove, TN, Frances Lawhorn (Buddy) of Hendersonville, TN, and Becky Bearden (Lloyd) of Hendersonville, TN, one step granddaughter, Dawn Brown, and one step grandson, Patrick Bearden, three step great grandchildren, Taylor Wirtz, Jackson Wynn, and Spencer Stillman, Three nieces, Betty Apple, Brenda Irwin, and Jackie Gourley (Bobby).

Mrs. Holt was a member of the Grace Church of the Nazarene, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) , and former member of Eastern Star. She was an inspector in a defense plant during WWII and later taught school in the Jackson County school system. After that, she became a housewife and mother.

Mrs. Holt passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Charter Senior Assisted Living in Hermitage.

A visitation for Bonnie will be held Tuesday, August 3, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Mount Olivet Funeral Home & Cemetery, 1101 Lebanon Pike, Nashville, TN 37210. A visitation will occur Wednesday, August 4, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 1101 Lebanon Pike, Nashville TN 37210. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, August 4, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 1101 Lebanon Pike, Nashville TN 37210. A committal service will occur Wednesday, August 4, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Mt Olivet Cemetery,
