He is preceded in death by his mother, Nellie Howard Muth and his brother, Lewis Howard.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 60 years, Becky Hardcastle Howard, his daughter, Becky Lynn Siever (Philip), his son, Steven Howard (Lisa) and his pride and joy, his grandsons, Drew and David Siever.
Bob is a proud Marine. He served in the Korean Conflict. He was very active in the Music City Marine Corps League as well as a volunteer in the Young Marine’s Program.
After more than thirty years of service. , he retired from Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency. He was responsible for negotiating the sale of many of Nashville’s most prominent properties. He was known for his work ethic and keen knowledge of the city of Nashville. After retirement, he enjoyed traveling, watching Titan’s football, enjoying his grandchildren, and volunteering for the Marines such as Toys for Tots.
Service will be held 10 am Thursday with Bro Andre Dugger officiating. Interment to be held at Forestlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation Wednesday from 4 pm till 6 pm and 9 am till time of service on Thursday at Hibbett & Hailey Funeral Home.
The family welcomes any visitors but kindly asks that masks be worn during visitation.
