Bessie M. Simpkins

She is preceded in passing by her parents, George Washington Andrews and Sarah Beatrice Andrews; her husband, Gerald L. Simpkins; her son, James Roger Simpkins; her brothers, James Douglas Andrews and George Washingon Andrews, Jr.; and her sister, Hazel Elizabeth Calloway.

She is survived by her three children, Robert Wayne Simpkins (Regina), Bonnie Diane Patterson (George), and Sharon Lynn Reeder (Johnny); former daughter-in-law, Linda Todd (Phillip); her grandchildren, Brian Simpkins (Ashley), Andrea Lavender (Steven), Melinda Simpkins, Andrew Simpkins (Lisa), James Robert Simpkins, Rachael Simpkins, Jeremy Williams (Kristen), Laura Lott (Steven), Matthew Green (Jennifer), Jessica Green, and Bryan Patterson (Melissa); her great-grandchildren, Eli Lavender, Drew Simpkins, Jared Simpkins, Monica Gann, Belle Felts, Brooke Felts, Silas Simpkins, Hayden Simpkins, J.D. Williams (Bella), Dakota Williams, Kora Reynolds, Dalton Vaughn, Elizabeth Vaughn, Dustin Vaughn, Gracie Green, Olivia Green, Isabella Green, Logan James Green (coming soon), Hunter Lee Green (coming soon), Lilie Patterson, and Alex Patterson; one great-great-grandchild, Willow Marie Lever; and brothers, Jack Andrews of Tracy City and Charles Andrews of La Vergne.

Family and friends will gather at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home on Friday, January 5, 2018, for visitation from four o’clock to eight o’clock in the evening and again on Saturday, January 6, 2018, from eleven o’clock to two-thirty in the afternoon, followed by funeral service at two-thirty. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
