Mrs. Bessie Nell Richards

Bessie Nell Richards, age 74, passed away on March 4, 2019 in Springfield, Tennessee. She was born on November 27, 1944 in Searcy, Arkansas to the late James Walter & Clara Bell Rhodes Huntsman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Rev. Norman Howard Richards. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in law, Gene (Patti) Richards of Farmington Hills, Michigan, and Randal (Patty) Richards of Greenbrier, Tennessee; and grandchildren, Wesley (Katie), Julia, Olivia and David; and siblings, Mary Lois Yarbrough, Patsy Richards and James Huntsman.

Bessie will be remembered as a loving mother and "Granny" to her four grandchildren. She was a devoted Christian and served as a missionary with her late husband for 28 years in Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast), West Africa.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 9th 2019 at The Donelson Fellowship, 3310 McGavock Pike, Nashville, Tennessee 37214. The family will have a gathering of friends and family from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday prior the Funeral Service at the Church. An Interment is scheduled at 3 p.m. on Saturday March 9, 2019 at the Historic Mount Olivet Cemetery.
