Barbara A. Shoopman, age 75, passed away peacefully July 21, 2012. She was born on the 27th of July 1936 in Reed, Oklahoma to the late Willard & Mildred (Barton) Presley. She is preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Shoopman. Barbara worked as a Food Service Manager, over 20 schools in Metro-Nashville Board of Eduication & for many years, was a writer for the Baptist Sunday School Board, third grade level. She is survived by her sons, Curtis “Skipp” Shoopman, Jr.; Scott (Marianne) Shoopman & Gary Shoopman; granddaughters Susan Bright, Stephanie Edwards, Jordan Lyons & Hannah Shoopman; great-grandchildren, Maya Bright, Christopher Bright & Charlotte Lyons. In lieu of customary remembrances, donations can be made to Crievewood Baptist Church Children’s Sunday School Fund. Funeral Services will be held at one o’clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, the 24th of July in Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall, with Interment to follow in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from two o’clock in the afternoon until eight o’clock in the evening on Monday, the 23rd of July, in a drawing room at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville TN 37204.
