Barbara Ann Morgan, age 84, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022. Graveside services in her honor will be held Sunday, March 20, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204.
Barbara was born in Nashville, TN on March 2, 1938 to the late Sidney Lee and Mary Rebecca Morgan.
Barbara is survived by her brother Robert Morgan; two sisters, Judy Hudgens and Nancy Botts; three nieces; Sherri Williams, Traci Thomas, LeAnne Morgan; Four nephews, Rick Botts, Keith Hudgens, Tye Hudgens and Greg Hudgens. Barbara was preceded in death by her mother Mary Rebecca Morgan and her father Sidney Lee Morgan.
Barbara graduated from East High School, and then continued her education at Peabody School for Teachers, earning her Masters Degree in Psychology. She had a career as a Teacher spanning 30 years with the Metro Public Schools. Barbara also enjoyed teaching Sunday School, and loved her church family. She was known for her quick wit, and her scholarly mind. In her spare time, Barbara enjoyed doing Calligraphy, writing, and she had a passion for art. Barbara was a devoted Christian, and absolutely loved teaching, and educating young minds. She loved to laugh and was known to be a Bible Scholar. Barbara was a very determined, independent, self-sufficient woman! Nothing pleased Barbara more than the time spent with her family, encompassing them with love and affection.
Her strength over the years will never be forgotten. Barbara's memory will live on through the hearts of her loved ones..
