Barbara was born in New York City on January 25, 1931. She eventually moved to Nashville, Tennessee where she married her loving husband, Jimmy V. Broadbent. They were married for 69 years. Barbara was head seamstress at Opryland Hotel for many years. Barbara was a member of the Pennington Bend Methodist Church. She loved to sew, knit, play bridge, fish and spend time with her family.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Broadbent, and her mother, Ann Pinkowski.
Barbara is survived by her sons, James M. Broadbent (Becky), and David W. Broadbent; two granddaughters, Vandy Mayworth (Josh) and Kelsey Smith (Adam); four great granddaughters, Selah Smith, Noelle Smith, Vaida Mayworth and Vivian Mayworth.
Family will gather for a service at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Nashville, Tennessee on Saturday, January 7, 2022 at 2pm. Visitation will be from 10:30am to 2pm, where she will be laid to rest.
