Anne Estes Grant- Age 70, of Nashville, passed away on February 20, 2012 after a 5 year long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. A Nashville resident for over 50 years, she was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Samuel Estes and Mary Ann Willis. She is survived by her husband, William Maxon Grant, daughter, Christi Seckman (Ben); son, Edwin Hunter Grant; four grandchildren, Grant Seckman, Cole Seckman, Max Seckman, and Ellie Seckman; sister, Nancy Ellen Estes; nephews, Graham MacNamara and Burgess MacNamara; aunts, Nancy Ellis (David) and Ellen Suber. Mrs. Grant graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1963 with a B.S. degree in education. While in college, she was a member of the Alpha Omicron Pi sorority. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who loved without reserve. After devoting herself to raising her two children, she then began a 14 year teaching career at St. Bartholomew preschool pouring out her love to the preschool children she cared for there. She retired in 2005. Visitation will be held today at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home from five o'clock until eight o'clock this evening. A Celebration of Life service will be held at eleven o'clock Thursday morning, February 23, 2012 at the Church of the Redeemer, 904 Caldwell Lane, with Rev. Kenny Benge officiating. Following the service, a private family graveside service will be held. Active pallbearers are: Don Fuson, Don Wheller, Jerry Brinkley, Bill Blevins, Bud Francis and John Yancey.
