Ann D. White

Ann (Dickson) White, born September 2, 1931 in Columbia, Tennessee and passed away on July 28, 2018 in Franklin, TN. Preceded in death by her parents, Lebert Luther Dickson and Flossie Chiles Dickson of Columbia, TN; brother Ernest Dickson and sister Willa May Dickson, Columbia, TN.

Survived by husband, Jerry E. White; children, David (Fonda) white, Phillip (Kim) White, Mary (Royce) Armstrong and Elizabeth (Eric) Ward; grandchildren, Tiffany (Logan) Pyron, Weston White, Morgan (Lindsey) White, Bethany Ward, Lauren ( Corban) Cressley, Ashley (Jordan) Williams, Trenton White, Sydney White and Erica (Will) Woods; great-grandchild, Clark White; siblings, Marie (Earl) Rhodes, Columbia, TN, Royal (Sue) Dickson, Columbia, TN and L.T. ( June) Dickson, Memphis, TN; many nieces and nephews.

Ann graduated from Central High School, Columbia TN, May 1949. Employed by Tennessee Farm Bureau, Columbia TN from July, 1949 to Dec. 1957. She married Jerry Eugene White on December 15, 1957 and moved to Cookeville, TN. Worked in Putnam County Court clerk Office from 1958 to May, 1960 while her husband was attending Tennessee Polytechnic University. She worked at Tennessee Baptist Convention from 1972 until June 1995. Ann was a member of church choir at First Baptist Church in Columbia for 7 years and member of church choir at Belmont Heights Baptist church in Nashville, TN for Nov. 1990 to March 2004. She served as choir mother and teacher in children’s choir for 10 years and taught the Martha-Radiant Sunday School Class from October, 1998 to April 2011.
