Alice Mary Murphy, age 97, of Nashville passed away December 6, 2015 at her home. Born in Chicago, IL on January 15, 1918, and lived in Berwyn, IL. She was executive secretary for the Presidents of the Rock Island Railroad and A.T. Kearney Consulting Firm, Chicago, IL.
She is preceded in death by parents, Joseph Patrick Murphy and Dora Ponic; and siblings, Joseph P. (Regina) Murphy, John I. (Katherine) Murphy, Vivian (Vernon) Arbuckle and nephew, Joseph Patrick Arbuckle.
She is survived by Cecilia Arbuckle, Maureen Arbuckle, Ann Manning, and Alice Brasel of Nashville, TN; Denise (Kevin) Harper of Williamsburg, VA; Sister Celeste Arbuckle, SSS, of San Francisco, CA; and Richard (Carol) Murphy of Jamestown, RI.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at 3 p.m. at Holy Name Catholic Church, 521 Woodland St. Nashville, TN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, 301 Chicago Ave., Evanston, IL 60202.
