Born April 15th ,1953 in Birmingham, AL. Alex passed away June 24th, 2021 at his home in Brentwood, TN.
Alex attended Aquinas College in Nashville. He was an excellent leader in the security industry. Alex was an accomplished marathon runner and a long standing member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
Alex was preceded in death by his parents Alex and Dee Starr, sisters Deborah and Kimberly and brother Leon. He is survived by children Elene Cazana (Ryan) and Alexander James Starr III, grandchildren Alcy and Hollis, siblings Jimmy, Chris, George and Pamela and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation 6 to 8 pm will be held Wednesday June 30th at Mt. Olivet Funeral Home, (1101 Lebanon Pike, Nashville, TN, 37210). Funeral Service will be held at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 4905 Franklin Rd., Nashville, TN, Thursday July 1st at 11am followed by burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
