A. Ray Williamson

WILLIAMSON, A. RAY age 91 of Nashville, January 20, 2012. Preceded in death by his parents, Sam A. Williamson and Alma Susan Williamson; brother, Billy K. Williamson; sister, Gretchen Martin. Survived by his wife of 71 years, Elynor Shivers Williamson; sons, Alan (Beth) Williamson, Randy (Shirley) Williamson; daughter, Vicki Williamson; grandchildren, Amy, Ben, Sara, Seth, Matt, Jesse and Tara; great grandchildren, Zaden, Austin, Lainey, Jordan, Luke and John Taylor. Mr. Williamson graduated from DeMore Andrew Prep School, served in the US Navy during WWII and was a member of Hillsboro Church of Christ. He will be remembered as a dearly loved husband, father, grandfather and friend. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. the morning of Monday, January 23, 2012 at Hillsboro Church of Christ with A.M. Burton officiating. A private entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cross Mausoleum. Serving as active Pallbearers will be Michael Mason, Bobby Mason, Mark Howard, Brian Hambrick, Jesse, Ben, Seth, and Matthew Williamson. Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to Alive Hospice or Good Samaritan Fund at Hillsboro Church of Christ.
