William Arthur “Bill” Taylor, age 79, of Nashville, passed away Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus, Indiana. Born June 23, 1942 in Red Bluff, California, he was the son of Lloyd and Suselle (Seymour) Taylor. Bill proudly served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the Nashville V.F.W. He was a machinist where he worked 27 years for General Motors and 10 years for Reliance Electric. Bill enjoyed gardening, blacksmithing, locksmithing, antiquing and visiting with family and friends.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Kay (Mathis) Taylor, of Nashville; two sons, Mitchell (Mary Chell) Mathis, of Nashville and Scott Taylor, of Arkansas; three daughters, Marnie (Eddie) Williams, of Kentucky, Leslie Taylor, of Kentucky and Jessica (Joe) Bolton, of Alabama; two brothers, Gary Taylor, of California and Roger Taylor, of Texas, ten grandchildren and one to be born soon and eight great-grandchildren.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter, Charity Taylor.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, November 12 at 1:00 p.m. at the Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home in Nashville. Burial with military honors will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Nashville. Friends may visit the family on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
