Stephen Wesley Spicer

Steve was born in Martinsville to Carl and Juanita Spicer (Robertson) Aug. 13, 1945. He attended Brown County Schools and graduated in 1963. In 1978 he started his own business and worked alongside family and friends as Spicer’s Refuse Service. He was married to Mary Jane Spicer (Eilar) with whom he shared 48 wonderful years in marriage.

He attended the Nashville congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and enjoyed teaching others of his love for Jehovah. In his spare time he enjoyed writing poetry, being an amateur photographer, and selflessly helping others. Steve was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all who knew him.

Steve is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Spicer (Eilar); siblings, Bob (Lynnette) and David (Carolyn) Spicer; children, Michelle Harris, Amy Palmer (John), Darren Spicer, Jason Spicer (Anne) and Matthew Spicer (Emily); grandchildren, Nathan and Riley Harris, Lauren Jennett, Grayson and Connor Spicer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Juanita Spicer.

A memorial service will be conducted at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Greasy Creek Road at 2 p.m. Sunday, March, 29. Audio will be available so you will also be able to listen to service at Mike’s Dance Barn.

An open gathering of family and friends will follow at Mike’s Music and Dance Barn on State Road 46 West.

The Stephen Spicer Memorial Fund has been established at PNC Bank.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home.
