and Kathryn Margaret (McLary) Bond.
Survivors include son, James Ivan Bush (Barbara) of Nashville, granddaughter Jennifer Bush Hallgarth
(Cami) ofIndianapolis, first husband Ralph (Scott) Bush ofFL, companion Joe Gwinnup of Beech
Grove, sister Oma Jean Kritzer of Nashville, brother Harry A. Bond (Dorothy) of Nashville, sister in law
Pauline (Woods) Bond of Columbus, stepson Clarence Boston ofVT, stepdaughter Bonny Boston ofNH,
nephews Steve Bond, Scott Bond, Ab Alba and Mark Bush of Bloomfield. She had heartfelt affection for
her seven nieces Kathryn Beth (Kritzer) Evans, Vicki (Bond) Hedrick, Paula (Bond) Conrad, A va (Bond)
Speer, Lisa (Bond) Moore, Eve (Bond) Lucas, and Lori (Bond) Hudson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three year old son, Allen Lee Bush, twelve year old sister, Ester
Bond, second husband Clarence (Chief) Boston, brother, Ivan Lee Bond, brother in law Max and nephew
Kendall Kritzer.
Mary attended school in Bean Blossom, Helmsburg and graduated from Nashville High School where she
was a Cheerleader for the Basketball Team and Vice President of her Senior Class. Mary was a member
ofthe Nashville Christian Church.
Mary's work history was wide ranging and very exciting. She began in1952: Brown County Local Draft
Board for Selective Service and Nashville USPS.] 968: Area Supervising Coordinator for Selective
Service. 1971: Area Administration Supervisor. 1972: National Conference Instructor, Registrant
Processing Manual, Washington, DC. 1973: Executive Secretary Supervisor, Indianapolis. 1974: Area
Supervisor, Indiana State Headquarters, Indianapolis. 1975: President Ford's Reconciliation Program,
Indiana. 1981: Local and Appeal Board Program Officer, Region III Headquarters, Great Lakes, IL. 1983:
Program Analyst, Officer of Operations, Nationwide. 1984: First RIMS Annual Training Conference
Instructor, Nationwide. 1986: Awarded Selective Service Exceptional Service Award with Silver Medal,
Washington, DC.
In 1986, Mary retired to her beloved hometown of Nashville where she volunteered for the local agency
on aging and traveled spending winters in Melbourne Beach, FL. Known for her homemade pies and
other old fashioned dishes, she enjoyed knitting and crocheting, and growing berries at the homestead
farm. She took pride in teaching those skills to family and friends. She was loved and respected by so
many, both locally and from coast to coast. Mary enjoyed her life to the fullest and will be fondly
remembered by all those whose lives she touched.

A celebration of her life will be held on January 31, 2015 from 10-11 a.m. with service at 11:00 a.m. in Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home, 1682 State Rd. 135 North, Nashville, IN 47448. Burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home, Nashville, IN.
