Former Nashville resident, Marjorie Taylor, died Tuesday, January 14, 2014, in Aiken SC. She relocated to Aiken in 2008 to be nearer her daughter. She was 88.Mrs Taylor was born September 8, 1925, in Grimesland, NC to Guy and Hattie Elks. She was married to Harold “Chief” Taylor on July 3, 1946, in Greenville, NC. She was a member of the Nashville Christian Church.She worked in the cafeteria of Nashville Elementary and Brown County High School for many years. After her retirement she could be seen on the streets of Nashville as she took her daily walk.She is survived by her daughter, Jean Ann Hyer (John) of Aiken, SC; two grandchildren, Dan Hyer (KC) and Ann Johnson (Chris) of Chicago; and one great-granddaughter. Other survivors include a brother, William Curtis Elks of Columbia, SC.She was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters and three brothers.Visitation will be Friday, January 24, 2014 from 5-8 p.m. in Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home, 1682 State Rd. 135 North, Nashville, IN 47448. The funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. also in the funeral home. Burial will be in Nashville’s Greenlawn Cemetery.
